Maris Bentley, wife of David (41 years), mother of 4, grandmother of 10.
Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Retired school counselor with training and experience in working with youth grades K-12. I have also worked in a medical hospital, a psychiatric hospital, and in two grant-funded projects, one which provided support & resources to parents of children with disabilities, and one which worked to reduce the incidence and rates of youth substance abuse. My life’s work, both personally and professionally, has been with children, and as an advocate for children and families.
A member of Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth, and on the Board of Directors of Nebraskans United for Life.
